Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane operator in Hartlepool, England. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Your main tasks: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • A good head for heights for tower crane work £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
