On a typical shift you will check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers; mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair. You should have: • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) Performance bonus on top of base pay.
