Now hiring: we are hiring a gardener in Knox County, Illinois. You will be based in a residential garden complex. The role involves: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds Requirements: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
