Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Doncaster, England. The job is at a shipyard. The role involves carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Full-time with occasional weekends.
