Brick and block layer • Flagler County, Florida

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Flagler County, Florida. You will work at a residential building site. Day to day you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
