Earthmoving equipment operator wanted in Newport County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Newport County, Rhode Island. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. On a typical shift you will strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter. Requirements: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
