Great opportunity: we are hiring a wood machinist in Jefferson County, Oregon. You will be based in a cabinet-making workshop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience On a typical shift you will fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
