Great opportunity: we are hiring a short order cook in Jefferson County, Washington. On a typical shift you will prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO. You should have: • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
