Now hiring: we are hiring a retail butcher in Buffalo County, Nebraska. You will be based in a meat processing plant. What we are looking for: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths On the job you will handle: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Season and marinate meat on request • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders 4+ years on the tools preferred.
