Immediate opening: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Kirklees, England. The job is at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to grind and set HSS cutters On the job you will handle: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe 3+ years on the tools preferred.
