Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Obubra, Cross River State. The job is at a residential building site. What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Your main tasks: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
