Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Full-time, day shift.
