Crane operator • Ika North East, Delta State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane operator in Ika North East, Delta State. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
