You should have: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Day to day you will set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances.
