Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Monguno, Borno State. Your main tasks: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Full-time with occasional weekends. ₦210,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
