You should have: • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec • Skilled with brush, roller and spray application The role involves: • Hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams • Apply primer, undercoat and two topcoats with brush and roller • Strip old paint and wallpaper with scrapers and heat guns • Prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
