Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Sarasota County, Florida. The job is at a civil contractor's yard. You will strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; refuel the machine and record running hours; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels. Requirements: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence 6+ years on the tools preferred.
