We are recruiting: we are hiring a counter butcher in Modoc County, California. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience.
