Immediate opening: brick and block layer (Kaduna State)

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ikara, Kaduna State. You will work on a commercial construction site. Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
