The role involves MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour. Requirements: • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
