Urgent requirement: captain waiter (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a captain waiter in Midlothian, Scotland. The job is in a five-star hotel. Ideal candidate: • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change • Smart, well-groomed appearance and a clean uniform On the job you will handle: • Polish glasses, cutlery and crockery during mise en place • Take food and drink orders on the POS terminal or order pad • Handle guest complaints and escalate to the captain or manager • Check back during the meal and handle special requests • Explain the day's specials and recommend dishes • Greet guests, seat them and present the menu We offer £2,300 per month plus benefits.
