Join our team: we are hiring a steam press operator in Jega, Kebbi State. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Overtime paid at a premium rate.
