Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings.
