Head baker • Nueces County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a head baker in Nueces County, Texas. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. On the job you will handle: • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter Ideal candidate: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Six days a week, one day off.
