Now hiring: we are hiring a carpenter in Marion County, Florida. You will work at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. On a typical shift you will read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions. You should have: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Good eye for detail and a clean finish Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
