Brick mason • Jack County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick mason in Jack County, Texas. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Day-to-day duties: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Full-time with occasional weekends.
