Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Rano, Kano State. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
