Great opportunity: horizontal milling machine operator (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Knowsley, England. Day to day you will load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors. Ideal candidate: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Able to grind and set HSS cutters At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. £2,050 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
