Milling machinist — Johnson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machinist in Johnson County, Iowa. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing. Requirements: • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits.
