Join our team: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Fayette County, Iowa. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry The role involves: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
