Stainless steel welder • Ector County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Ector County, Texas. You will be based on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
