We are recruiting: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Ogle County, Illinois. You will work at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory The role involves meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; give each garment a final press before packing; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours.
