Furnace operator wanted in Orelope

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Orelope, Oyo State. The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
