Meat trimmer • Oru East, Imo State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Oru East, Imo State. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Day to day you will stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
