Gtaw welder • Njaba, Imo State

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Njaba, Imo State. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
