Gardener — Akure South

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gardener in Akure South, Ondo State. The job is at a private estate garden. The role involves spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. You should have: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
