Stainless steel welder wanted in Huron County

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Huron County, Ohio. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
