Now hiring: horticulturist (Kano State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Dawakin Tofa, Kano State. You will work in a public park. On a typical shift you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds. Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
