Machine operator (earthworks) wanted in Gateshead

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Gateshead, England. The job is at a road and highway construction project. You will work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains. What we are looking for: • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
