Port container crane operator • Billiri, Gombe State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Billiri, Gombe State. Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Understanding of hand and radio signals At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
