Great opportunity: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Nelson County, Virginia. You will glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles. Ideal candidate: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Own basic hand tools 3+ years on the tools preferred.
