Foundry worker • Kware, Sokoto State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Kware, Sokoto State. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Your main tasks: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
