Counter butcher — Boone County

Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Boone County, Missouri. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On a typical shift you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
