Estate gardener — Alexander County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an estate gardener in Alexander County, Illinois. You should have: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Contact us to fix an interview.
