Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Johnson County, Texas. The job is at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Six days a week, one day off.
