Bread baker • Providence County, Rhode Island

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bread baker in Providence County, Rhode Island. You will be based at a cake shop. Your main tasks: • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight What we are looking for: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Six days a week, one day off.
