Great opportunity: argon welder (Kano State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Dawakin Tofa, Kano State. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
