Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Wise County, Texas. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Rotating shifts.
