Now hiring: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in Lancashire, England. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. The role involves: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
