On a typical shift you will mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish 2+ years on the tools preferred.
